Last week Barbara and I were out for a walk when we heard someone yell "Help!" from across the marsh. It sounded like kids fooling around. Then, we saw deep black smoke in the direction of our house. We checked our backyard camera to see if our house was in flames. It wasn't.
But the time we got back to our street, all of the neighbors were gathered. Not to gawk, but to express concern and ask how they could help.
The family got out. But, the house looked like a total loss.
Families in our area have had several tragedies over the past few years.
As we've prayed for one another, our street is becoming more like a neighborhood.
We had prayed for more opportunities to share Christ.
We didn't anticipate it would happen through heart attacks, pets dying and house fires (plus lighter things like Christmas teas).
But, God has used care and prayer to open doors, even for introverted people like me.
The Tales of the Kingdom books have opened doors to share Christ around the world for decades, encouraging believers and wooing seekers.
Help turn the Tales of the Kingdom books into an animated series.
The teaser trailer is a critical part of movie fund raising.
God has brought in almost $10,000 so far.
We need to raise another $12,000. Any amount helps!
